A few other tips I've come to realize. Getting links for the second site is easier than the first. I simply go to the same source (for the second site) as I did for the first site. Also, if you write an article, try to make the title of your article the exact key word you want. Google picks up on the title. I have several articles ranking well (with zero links) simply because the title is a specific keyword and its on a big article directory. Wish I had known that earlier after writing a bunch of articles.
