Since I see that we are a few active members here I'd like to start a bit of a more interesting thread here. It's like a little game, or maybe not, maybe more than a game, a thread where we share our ideas on HOW TO PROMOTE A BLOG.

Let's not fill this thread with comments that don't contribute to the cause ok? If you have an idea share it with us. Thanks.

Ok, here I go:

HOW TO PROMOTE A BLOG (2 methods that you don't hear everywhere)

1) You make a list of forums where you can find interesting information about your topic. You get involved there and start to learn a thing or two if possible, then you write a weekly article about a subject related to your discussions you had on those forums. This is quality content written by you, about stuff that are happening now.

After that you make a thread on each forum promoting your article and get targeted traffic, maybe real comments from users of interest and increase your blog popularity and income.

2) You create a nice reference about your subject. Let's say you are a blogger that writes about the new programing language X that has been around a few month and you want to create something that will drive traffic like crazy to your blog. You create a nice scheme of the core programing modules, save them on a PDF and spread the word on forums, on other blogs via comments, even put it on a torrent.

The same way can be done even for health or insurance subjects - more popular due to extra adsense income -. A little ebook with a few articles from your blog... That's really nice.
