I need advice on domain registration....Im planning on trying to get a domain from hostgator.......Godaddy seams to be good but i preffer the way Hostgator does it, now i want to know if a forum like 'buxbb.com' could be handled with a 6,000gb of Bandwidth account.......>>>I want you to explain to me what monthly bandwith means>>>>and tell me if you think 6,000gb of bandwith could cover BOTH a forum like buxbb.com and a site traffic like neobux.com, Thanks in advance

hello userzz,

Monthly bandwidth means the amount of data transfer allowed per month, if it exceeds, it will show a bandwidth exceeded page when anyone tries to access your site. To host a forum like buxbb.com, monthly bandwidth is more than enough, i dont know about neobux, can not say anything about it.

Well then there is no need to go unlimited....Sorry if i do not understand but, you have trasfer as in uploading filies to you site, and you have transfer as in ppl/traffic comming to your site, like the amount of KB they use to open the site.......Cuz somethimes i hear ppl saying make sure your site can handle the traffic....in short ,+Does the amount of ppl comming to your site reduce your monthly bandwith?+

Hello userzz,

Well bandwidth means both files transfer and people/traffic visiting to your site. It is better to use templates with less images, which leads to loading of the site faster and also for the low usage of the bandwidth, more images more bandwidth.

I hope your doubts are clear.
