E-Gold is slowly dying. Too many court battles with the U.S. government. Many people who used to accept it open handedly are now dropping it quicker than a bad habit. We are as well and are incorporating Liberty Reserve, Phoenix Dollar, and Pecunix as its replacement.

I don't use E-gold, but why people have so much accands ? You just need 1 (maby 2) accand and get always payed on that, why would you want 5 accand with 10$ in stad of 1 acc with 50$
i like e gold. once my money from mylot was deposited there. i didn't know how to withdraw. i remember having only 25$ from mylot, when i withdraw after several months it became 30$ because the gold value increased. nice!

Lately they have been closing down accounts. I've already traded whatever balance left remaining to other ecurrency. Better not take the chances. Some have even claim they are now scam.
may i know what is your next plan - like which gateway are you going for
this time. maybe we can learn something out from each other.
right now, i am with paypal. (*offtopic though)

I used egold a long time ago. In fact this is the first ecurrency I got online long time ago. I am seeing that they are in trouble with the government now. That is why their reliability is somewhat compromised already. This is their first time to be pinned down by a government agency for investigation. It is quite disappointing that they are being pulled down.
In my opinion e-gold is just like so many fly by night sites we find on the internet nowadays. I lost over $600 through them and won't ever forget that lesson learned! At Paypal someone got hold of my information and purchased a computer through my account and had it delivered somewhere in california while I'm registered as someone living in Turkey? You want to tell me paypal didn't even wonder for one minute if something was going on? No, they just paid!! Afterwards I was threatened to pay up? I have learned some bad lessons and now keep my money off the internet!!
