Sounds like a terrible idea to me. Then black hat webmasters will have a whole new way to manipulate google... similar to what happens with Digg, people get together and vote for each others website to make them more popular.

I think that google should instead focus on ways to improve search results that are harder to manipulate to make things fair.

I like the voting idea, but I agree with greatgames. They need to be careful that it isn't abused by people trying to trick the system.
