I have heard so many times and specially from the seo's about the PR as well as the SERP's, but nowadays there is a huge humor about : The Impact of Google PR tool bar. Optimizers are saying PR impact is over.

Many big and senior seo's are saying that they have stopped chasing PR, this news about the PR Tool bar is very interesting as today many of us still run for PR for our site.

So, i would like to ask from all the member's over here about their comments about the PR toolbar and what they think about it and do they also chase PR.

If not then why??

Definitely still PR is an important thing. If you exchange link with High pr sites you will get good search boost on google.

I think that though backlinks are very important, PR game is over now. PR of many big sites is lowered in last PR update, though they are doing well in SE's.

Basically google will eventually remove PR Game ...

I think the game is not yet completely over. If let's say you intend to sell your site, the first thing that the buyer will ask is "what's the PR of your site?". So I don't think the game will ever end as long as everybody still plays to the rules.

I know that everytime when Google update the PR, quite number of site admin will found that their site PR drop. This is because Google is keep develop the formulation of PR calculating and review the site (Those site with ton of backlink but no content will definately "die").
IN this case, PR no more a game, you cant get high PR by just insert ton of backlink. You really need to concern about your content to maintain or get higher PR.
PR still the only guide to judge the value of your site.

I honestly don't know. My highest ranked site is the one where I get less visitors. I think that PR is not synonym of visitors anymore. On the other hand backlinks surely gets your more organic traffic.

well i really think that google is really making so many changes now . so that we will not really going to earn well.

Well, in ideally we can say high PR should have more traffic but thing not so ideal actually. That's same happen to movie, the best movie shall have most supporter ideally, but normally we know that that is not true. Some bad movie might have many people buy ticket and go inside the cinema, right?

well now i really understand pr now. when you compared that to the cinema. well i hope that i will hvae more visitors than good pr.
