I guess as mentioned above, it is important to get our blog or website seen on Google search engine and advertisers want their products and services seen by as many people as possible too. As I do paid and sponsored reviews at my blogs, I do need to pay attention to PR. Learning about backlinks and traffic building has been a long process for me.

higher pr is really important so that you can earn from other paid to blog sites. which why i am trying to improve my blog.

Not true. the PR and the SERP is different. You can see many low PR site do have better ranking then high PR site for the google search

Pagerank once had meaning, now that my experience shows that most are good links with related domains

I think pagerank is very important because it shows how popular and interesting is your site. It counts all the link google can found to your site and then calculates pagerank
