Pagerank is useless is my statement, post below if you agree or disagree and come with good arguments! I might do a follow up post about this on my blog if you show me some good arguments!

Pagerank does have a value because google uses it in their algorythym. To the rest of the world pagerank has no value. It is however a rough indication of the popularity of a website.

Most webmasters are looking for traffic. Pagerank in and of itself will not give you traffic but doing the things that improve your pagerank should also help get traffic.

So, pagerank has no value unless you are looking to get organic traffic from google, exchnage links with fellow webmasters and increase your traffic!

The PageRank have value, just you do not understand their value.
The higher value represented that you do have many backlink with quality site, mean the chances people go to your site is higher. At the same time, you might sell it in high price.
By comparing the Alexa ranking 1 and PR 10 site, PR10 site is much much more higher then Website with Alexa ranking 1. You can sell it in billions if you able to make you PR go to 9 or 10

I disagree with you, I think PageRank has a great amount of value. Its just misunderstood. People thought that it meant everything and it doesn't.

PR can be crititacal if you have a blog and want to make money through pay per post (you get more opportunities) or you have a site and you sell links (more pr the more expensive the links are).

What's the point of its value if you can game on it?? Google is just monopolizing that ranking system, and I guess that should not be the case... There are good websites that have PR0, how can anyone explain on that??

I agree. But if the people running sites like Pay Per Post don't realise that then the big money posts will always follow the blogs with PR.

You have a point though.. but the main purpose of PR has lost its essence.. It no longer pictures the true value of a particular website

If Pagerank is no value, then what got value? Alexa ranking? traffic? content?

Good or bad is depend to each person, different people have different opinion, maybe you think this website is good but i sure not all the people will think this website is good. That's why we need some countable measurement

If your site has high PR then your site may get upper rank while searching through Google.
