Hi,

I don't know if this is the best place for this thread, but here it goes.

A few months ago I accepted a work proposal (web design and coding) and I also took some photos of live events to use in my layout. Yesterday I saw my photos on a public entity website without my authorization.

Is this legal? What's the best thing to do? Phone them and ask for a payment for using my work?

Hello Kris, sorry to hear that..It is really bad that someone has stolen your work..The best thing is to contact the site who is using your work..and ask them to either remove it or do as you want it to be done..if they do not reply to your message, report them to your local copyright infringement managing office..they will surely be helping you out..

well you can next time create a watermark on every image of yours before uploading. then no one can use your original photos.
