I agree with gspx here..if you really want to run a serious business, you should always start promoting it with a solid base..and any free service would be giving only a bad impression to the visitors or readers of your blog..you can always start with Wordpress because of its more professional looks as compared to blogger blogs..but also host it on your host and get a domain name of your own too..Free blogs also give an impression of unstability of any site..you can yourself guess about that..

Check above link. There is a few content and site is not updated a lot but it has a link from wordpress, that's why it has PR4(I know that personally ). May be that is the only benefit of blogsopt and wordpress.

For a newbie blogger, I really recommend to have a blogspot blog. But if you are already making money with your blogspot blog, I'm encouraging you to setup your own selfhosted wordpress blog

I think the word "free" says it all. I mean if you are talking about advantage. However, experience bloggers here have already pointed out that in the long run, this will only ruin your business. Getting your own domain and hosting will give stability and increase the credibility to your potential clients.

I think its always best to host your own blogging application. Its only a few bucks a month for average hosting.

I use blogspot for my personal one and for my church one. I think it is really easy to do but I haven't not yet figured out how to make money with it. I also forget to update it regularly which I am sure is not good. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
