I think if you only ask help from your friends, it is really hard to get great traffic, as not all of your friends will be interested in your blog, if you ask them to promote it, they might think you are boring person.

maybe you are right, I should not bring boring to my friends, and I don't think promotion to my blog is more important than friendship.

what do you mean ? bring traffic to your blog or getting traffic from your blog ? I think if you want to promote your blog, forum signature, post and traffic ex-change programs can help you to some extend, and you can search it by yourself.

I think you should not ask this question,as no one can tell you how to earn money via blog, or everyone can tell you, you can apply google ads for your blog, but how you can earn money by ads? I think you have to learn some things before you ask.
