Default Tips on making a Facebook-esque nav bar

Hi I'm currently creating a website at
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
(it has nothing to do with Facebook) and would like to create a drop down menu similar to the one found at the top of Facebook pages. To to be more specific, take the "Friends" tab at the top for example. The user can hover their mouse over the word friends and friends lights up, clicking on friends will bring the user to a general friends page. OR the user can hover their mouse over the down arrow right beside friends which will highlight the arrow. If the user clicks the arrow then both friends AND the arrow will highlight and a drop-down menu will appear spanning the width of friends + the drop down arrow. I don't know if I'm being clear so please visit facebook.com to get a better idea. Any suggestions on how to code this? Thanks in advance, Marc
