Default Am I On The Right Track From A Newbie

hope I have done this correctly in the forum. If I didn't, I am sure I will hear about it.

Hello everyone! My name is Scott and I am new to this forum as well as being a newbie to internet marketing. My plan is info marketing. I am sure I will have questions even though I just finished up the stomper $1 trial. Thanks to Stomper I came across Dan and This forum.

[size="3"]Now from what I can tell thus far, when it comes to keyword research the numbers for searches that are shown, are not true and or accurate in any way. But the larger numbers seem to indicate a good word or phrase to work with in a chosen market.

Now having said that, what numbers should I look at as being good numbers, Word tracker might show 500 to 1000 and keyword discovery will show either less or more.As far as I can tell from what I have read , google typically as search engine holds Around 65% of searches done on the internet. The rest just fall into other percentages.

Now lets say I go to word trackers tool and see a number of 1800 for example , is there A way to kinda guess what the searches are on google are by multiplying that number times 2 or 3 to get more of an accurate number of searches?

I also understand that I should have between 10 to 15 keyword phrases for a market and under a particular phrase should be single keywords that relate to that phrase called clusters. And this would be a good start to optimizing my site for search engines.

Kudos’ to Dan for the video and the re-enforcing of the things I had learned on Stomper.

I also am realizing based on what has been learned that meta keyword tags don’t do anything and by putting your top 10 phrases in sales page early and often is far more important. Especially in the title as it makes sense.

Am I on the right track here?

Thanks,

Scott
