I'm a newby to the forum. I've had some difficulty and would appreciate your suggestions. I hired a designer to create a website for me last summer. The website went live November 13th. I hired an
SEO company to help me gain position and to advise me on what steps I needed to take. Six months later and $5600 poorer I'm very dissappointed in the work they performed. My expectations were that they would establish backlinks and optimize pages with keywords and matching text for best results in SERPS. They created 18 pages of new content but all the pages on my site use the same keywords and meta tag information. Does this seem irresponsible to you?
So here I am now... cash poor and my site is bringing in around 150 uniques a day, I have some SERP ranking for words other than my keywords. But the keywords on my site aren't gaining any ground and haven't over the last 180 days. The truth is that the
SEO company didn't even change the keywords or content from what the designers had originally set up.
I really don't know where to start, I need at a minimum hire a consultant to walk me through the process. I believe I need software that will create a google sitemap to help spiders find new pages / ads. I would really appreciate your suggestions.
