Google's Adwords Keywords Tool

How much value is the Google keyword tool? While it doesn't offer specific numbers it does show there is traffic for a number of keyword phrases I've considered using for a site. Phrases that didn't show up with Wordtracker's keyword tool. So I'm wondering if I should develop landing pages for these phrases. If there is a thread on the Google keyword tool, please list it for me.
