But isn't the point of the alexa rank to reflect a true, or true-ish count of how much traffic you get, if you screw with that then you'll ruin it completely. |

I know that there is some way to increase your alex ranking. I saw some blog able to reach quite good ranking (within 100000) in just a week. That's why I dont really trust alexa ranking and i prefer PR | |

Alexa is a pain in the backside, but sometimes it gives a roughly accurate spread of popularity, so sometimes it's good.
I don't like the people that cheat it, though

Alexa rank is almost meaningless nowadays. All the advertisers are interested in real traffic stats such as google analytics or extreme tracker but not alexa. Of course there are few who relies on alexa but not much. Alexa is so easy to cheat and there are tons of ways to do that. | |

You can simplily find a website which build up only one week and their alexa rank is within 30000 | |

I am not in top 100,000 but i am amazed to see Alexa stats.

Check the link, you can see I have gained almost double the traffic rank or you can say it is up to in 9xx,xxx from 16xx,xxx but amazingly I did nothing to that. I don't know the reason why i am up by almost 50% but I am.
