I'm confusing about the comment on site. If we leave the comment on other site, then we can get backlink from them or not? and increase our PR?

Leaving comments on other sites will get you some backlinks.

However, a lot of the time, they are nofollow.

There is a really good plygin for firefox - searchstatus. It shows the google and msn rank of any website that you are visiting and also you can select that it would highlit the nofollow links in any website

By the way no follow links DO work, despite the fact that G denies it. Ask any SEO PRO. Also as my own experience showed it really works, because i got my site indexed and at the top on one keyword after i left a PR5 nofollow comment

Actually i did the same, i always leave some comments on high PR site even i do not know whether it works or not. By the way, thanks for your information

Yes it works. It not only gives you some SEO but also gives you visitors. I am getting some visitors from a site that i left a comment few months back.

Almost all famous tools for backlink checker and analyzers list them as "no follow" or not so there is no difficulty determining that. i think there is no use to leave comments on such sites. We can know along with link building.
