Traffic not related with PR. PR is all about quality backlink,

If you blog/website still have quite number of sponsored link, then it might be a bit difficult to get high PR. The only thing you can do is try your best on building quality bcklink

I have manage website rastafaraus.net and I have increasing PR 3. This I get with make link exchange with other website and from signature on forum. Also I try use email signature to promote website. Almost 1 year the website increasing to PR 3.

1. Page rank is not related to traffic
2. Traffic exchange never bring quality traffic to your site

1- Good backlinks will increase ur pagerank.
2- Submit ur site in directories.
3- Quality New Content
4- Commenting in blogs and forum
5- Write article related to your site and post it in article directories like ezine artciles,articledashboard

for checking how many pages has been indexed in google signup for google webmaster tools.

Well I think the quality of the posts and the update-to-date content is the reason for not getting a PR. You should try optimizing your blog.

Well, i believe the "link" you mentioned in google and yahoo is the indexed link but not backlink. Backlink and indexed link is totally different. Those link with nofollow can be indexed but never provide you PR juice.

You need to get the PR juice by building dofollow backlink to improve your PR.
