Default Refresh after submit? How?

I have a form on a page, which then submits itself to itself. Basically; the page acts as the processor and does what needs to be done. Problem is; once what is done is done, doesn't work up on the page UNTIL a refresh is made. Upon a refresh the data will be submitted again, how can I come by this and like automatically refresh it without re-sub?
