For me this two combos are great. MySQL is a reliable database and paired with PHP, it is simply wonderful. Would you prefer other databases paired with PHP? or whatever combos do you use? |

as far i know, mysql is paired with php.
mysql can be used alone if you're building site or databases. | |

I like php and mysql and this 2 combinations can create powerful websites and systems. It's really depend how well your knowledge in it. For me, my skills is still beginner level and able to debug simple sites and systems! | |

In my opinion, the use of MySQL and PHP together is a great combination..

MySQL isn't "paired" with PHP, but they are meant to work flawlessly with each other. I always use them together.
