hi there. i am just curious.... Which localhost server do you use for PHP? Xampp or Apache? for me, i am used to Apache. However friends told me there are no support for ApacheTriad anymore. |

I use Xampp if I run localhost on my computer never tried apache before I runned joomla with it. |

What about wamp server?, I am using this tool. It has built in phpmyadmin to manage mysql server. |

I personally use Xampp because i have always heard that its better and easier to use! |

I used all of those mentioned above + easyphp but I guess WAMP is the best , it's faster and better and also it's regularly updated with the latest Apache , PHP & MySQL versions , you can check its original site

and you can download it directly from SOURCEFORGE.
This is if we're speaking about the Win platform , but if you're using *nix don't bother your self just get the TOMCAT , it's so easy to configure and very handy to use and deal with. |

I use Apache, always have and probably always will. I'm used to using it now, and I haven't noticed any problems with it, so I'm more than happy to just keep using it. | |

Today I tried WAMPserver for the first time, I installed it and everything was fine, but then I had to interrupt my work and turn off the computer.Now I've come back and run the program, but the icon doesn't get white and I get empty white pages on the localhost. What am I doing wrong? I guess I should log into mySQL (I have set up a login and a password), but how? |

i am using wamp and xamp. compared to xamp, wamp is easy one. so try wamp local server. | |
