I am a Delphi Programmer.
I'm very happy with it because it's a powerful, programming language with many features.
I can make what I want with Delphi.
One negative element is that Delphi isn't popular as C++ or VB, so if you need help, it will be harder to find someone to help you than with VB or C++.

I don't think there is much of a demand for Delphi programmers (AFAIK Delphi is pretty close to a dead language). If you're trying to decide what language to learn based on the demand for it alone, I think any of the .NET stuff would be your best bet (ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, etc.).

how true when you said that Delphi is not as popular as c++ or VB because in the university where i went to school, it is not being taught. the other two are, both in Information technology and Computer Science Department. i even am not familiar with this programming language. Can you tell me more aouut it? thanks

I still remember one of my interview questions in my previous company, "Do you think programming is an art or a science?"
I'd think it's a combination of both, you gotta be creative and also logical.
I am currently using Microsoft products to develop the applications, VB6 for legacy windows applications and C# for web applications.
In my country, the market is larger for .NET developers, I think I'm quite lucky as I learned .NET in my first company, so it's kinda easy to get new job after that.
