Hello Friends,
I am facing this question from some time now, may be you can help to remove teh confusion:
1. I am building websites from last 5 years and try our best to build serach engine friendly websites - most of our websites attract decent visitors 50-70K per month without any paid marketing. But we have been doing
SEO for these websites on the sidelines.
The question is when I see the stats the total number of visitors are on increase by approximatly 20-30% month by month, And these sites are GENERATING DECENT SALES TOO but direct users from Search Engines Refferals are really very low say less then 10% of total site visitors.
What is the yard stick to measure good
SEO efforts - is the direct visits from SE are the only parameter of successful search engines?
One of my client asked me teh traffic from search engines should be atleast 60% - his site is 8 months old and the Google generic clicks shows that in last 30 days the site have received mor ethen 3500 clicks with good conversion of lead to sales.
Am I missing something or I just need to educate the client and myself on some more facts..? Please help.
