has any body used htaccess to do URL Re-writing and did it make any difference to your search engine traffic, is it really a benefit not having .php, .htm, etc and replacing it with a simple /
also if you do it, do search engines think the re directed page is a new page, there by making any inbound links to that page useless and meaning you have to wait to be re indexed again
i feel myself talking my way out of doing it already, however if i do need to change my shopping cart in the future i'll never have to change the URL addresses again (maybe its a case of do it for all your new pages but leave the old ones as they are)

Yes i tryed it..its work fine..its make our site more visible to search engine........so u get more traffic......

Agree, URL rewriting (from dynamic to static pages) static pages are SE friendly which is easily to be crawled unlike dynamic page like asp, php and others.... | |
