I had not been following our stats much, but was shocked to see we'd lost about 30% of our traffic. In studying the numbers, we began to fall from our pattern of traffic increase each month (as compared to the year before, same month) in August,, 2006. By November 2006 we were actually having LESS traffic. Each month after that, our traffic has been down.
Can anyone help me understand what happened? (and maybe solve the problem?)
We had added two links in the footer to two other sites we owned at about that time. (They are out now.)
There were no other major changes, just basic product updates and an occasional new product.

PR was 5, and is now 3. I have no idea when that happened. It has not gone up yet, in the 2 months since I've taken out the links to the other sites. I do not know if that
Our traffic mostly comes from search engines. (google, Yahoo, and msn, in that order volume-wise) Was there an upset at aroudn that time that could have affected us?
Just as a point of interest, we have not been hurt (that I've noticed) by other updates. Each month has always brought more traffic than the same month the year before. Our site is 6 years old.
As our website is our primary source of income, this is starting to hurt so I'm hoping someone here can help me.
