I used XMLEcho's site to generate my sitemap for a Google. I uploaded and got this error.

"Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit"

Can anyone help me regarding this?

Are you referring to Google webmasters tools? Maybe what you need to do is to validate the sitemap. If that doesn't work just try and make a new one. I don't think I've faced this problem before but I'm sure it can be solved.

You can goto w3c.org and check your sitemap there.
