Ok just want to ask. We all know that Google will penalize you if they find out you are exchanging in buying links. If that's the case wouldn't paying to get listed in directories will hurt your SERP as well? This include paying to get listed in Yahoo Directories. What do you think? I never pay for any directories listing before and I feel it's not worth it.

I am thinking about to go for paid directories. Till now I was submitting at free directories only. But I am searching if paid submission really helps.

Hmm...Just want to hear your guys opinion. Some say that google can penalize and hurt your PR if you involve yourself in paying to get listed in directories. Although I'm not sure how this works, I better avoid doing this in the meantime. It's also not worth to pay for the links since most of the time, we can't recover back the investment that we've made.
