I saw someone posting about how JavaScript can't be read by Google crawlers. My site has quite a few JS popups that are necessary, so my question is whether those a href, target blank links are followed and indexed by crawlers.

google can not read javascript. You should think how to add some html links (maybe in the footer of the page) even if you have pop-ups.

ya google couldn't crawl that, i mean javascript, just try put html as what the author told you on above post.
