Rep Power: 405 | | .org / .info Hi...anyone have any "info" on whether or not, in terms of how search engines will rank you, it makes a difference whether or not you domain name ends with ".info" or ".org" instead of ".com"?
All of these suffixes are available for the domain name I have in mind. As far as I remember, I rarely see any .info or .org sites close to the top of the SERP's for any search I ever do. Seems that ".com" sites usually dominate.
My site is going to be mainly for disseminating information, so ".info" seems to be a natural choice. But I wonder if this suffix is not looked kindly upon by the search engines, and whether I should use ".com" if I want to maximize my site's visibility on the internet.
Anyone have any insight?
