I think the one thing missed out mentioning here by members is doing blog commenting and getting backlinks in the process. I know there are some webmasters who are willing to spend some money acquiring the service of members to get them to do blog commenting on dofollow blogs.

Hi hanusoftware your question is good first of all please stop pursuing PR its not going to last longer as today all the seo's have stopped chasing it instead work for the SERP's.

I will tell you the way to increase PR but try to stop chasing it:

1) Build Links
2) Linking from Authority Sites same niche
3) Forum Signatures
4) Writing Articles and submitting to article directory with a link on the article pointing your site
5) Blogging on the niche as your site with a link back.
6) Commenting on Blogs with some thing creative.
7) Social Bookmarking

Links from the sites with high SERP's and Authority will gain you more if compared with the sites with less authority.

Hope this solves your issue.

I agree with you Amit. It is not right to be obsessed about PR alone because basically SERP is more important because it will determine how much traffic coming to your site. In fact high PR does not have anything to do or can guarantee traffic.

Those 7 ways mentioned is works, but this is happen on the Dofollow backlink only. Besides, try ot get as many quality backlink as you can, this will help you more on increase your PR.
